About the Artwork:
One of my first paintings was a still life of juicy red apples. I thought it’d be fitting to return to this theme again. Symbolism flows throughout this piece. I continue to find more symbolism each time I reflect on it.
Painting has been a delicious journey for me. I’ve had to make conscious choices every day. Those choices have led me to gain insights. Those insights inspire me in later choices. This becomes a circular cycle: action leading to knowledge, which leads to action, and so on.
Eve and Adam made individual choices to eat forbidden fruit. I think their actions taught them unique tailored lessons, which later inspired their future personal choices.
As for me, I continue to take actions and learn from them every day. I consider my joys and sorrows to help guide me in future choices. Overall, I feel if I follow my heart, I’ll find the journey to be delicious and satisfying.
About the Artist:
Joshua recently graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He’s trying out oil painting, as that’s been an interest of his since he was little. He has been oil painting since 2018. He learns and grows every day.
