About the artwork: Each day is a soft reset — another chance to start again. Days by design are cyclical and repetitive to allow us to try again and again. Both the close of a day and the beginning of the next brings with it the promise of a new beginning — a chance to write a new page of our history.
About the artist: I discovered early on that I had a talent for art and I have gravitated toward it ever since. I love the beauty in nature and strive to capture that in my paintings. Part contemporary impressionist, part realist I endeavor to convey what a tightly rendered picture or photograph can't. Keeping my palette simple and relying on my ability to see the nuances of color & light I describe the world with paint. Through my paintings I hope to convey my perception of the world and hopefully a suggestion of things that can only be felt. Transcending fleeting moments in the world around us and transforming them into something permanent, my hope is that my audience will feel some of what I have felt.
