Artist Statement: Amelioration is the process of making something better, which I believe usually comes through the deconstruction of the idea/object/mindset as a first step. Here we see death contemplating birth and encourage them to become one in the process of amelioration.
Artist Bio: David Habben is an artist/illustrator/educator based in Utah. His works encompasses a variety of styles and has received numerous awards. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Illustration at Brigham Young University where his focus is developing creativity and experimentation in the rising generation of illustrators.
