About the Artist: Amy Stephensen—a Sandpoint, Idaho resident—currently teaches art at a small high school, while also raising twin boys and fitting in as much creative time as possible. Her work reflects her experiences connecting with those whose paths have crossed her own—trying to honor beauty in the simple, power in the natural, and the humanity in each individual. This tractor series is influenced by her nephews’ obsession with farm equipment, as well as the relationship to the land and food that they symbolize.
