Titles:
Beloved (0600) – Oil on board; I created Beloved while reflecting on how tenderly and intimately Christ knows and loves all of God’s creations. May we never forget that we, too, are beloved.
The Storm (0601) – Oil on board; The Storm is inspired by my love of a good storm. From living in the mountains of the northwest to the coast of Florida, these larger-than-life thunderheads looming on the horizon will always bring a thrill to my heart.
One in a Million (0602) – Oil and Florida shells and sand on board; One in a Million is inspired by how I imagine Christ spent His time on this earth. I imagine He slowed down and noticed the little, endlessly beautiful things and smiled, taking it all in. The thought of all the tiny treasures and lovely creatures He’d meet is so sweet to me.
The Fisherman (0603) – Acrylic on board; I grew up in Montana and Idaho but moved to Florida after getting married. Though my world now is completely different, one thing stayed the same: the great blue herons fishing in my backyard. Graceful, wise, adaptable, steady, and a beautiful reminder of home wherever I go.
Sea of Promise (0604) – Mixed media and oil on board; To me, the sea is a symbol of the endless outpouring of God’s blessings upon each of us every day. It is a reminder that His love is bigger than my understanding and it will fill my life to overflowing if I just open my heart and let Him in.
Tiny Titans (0605) – Acrylic on board; My husband and I always stop to admire little bugs in our yard. We adore them! While preparing these minis, my husband asked me to paint a little tribute to the tiny creatures we love so much. He is also a huge fan of knights, so I made a little bee warrior facing a mighty mantis!
Light of the World (0606) – Oil on board; In Light of The World I wanted to capture the radiance of Christ’s love. It is not distant or unreachable—it is warm, living, and inviting. His light shines for everyone, and no pain or sorrow is so big that the light of Christ’s atonement cannot reach.

Artist Bio: Aspen Nyshelle (Orozco) was born in 2000 in Missoula, Montana and grew up amidst the gorgeous mountainscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Through a childhood of outdoor exploration and play, she developed a deep love for the natural world and the creatures that live in it, a theme that would later appear in nearly all of her work as an artist.
Working across mixed media such as charcoal, ink, acrylic, and oil, she is best known for her bold depictions of women and wildlife characterized by vivid, expressive color and dynamic lighting. Her work centers on themes of nature, strength, love, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life.
Aspen’s studio can be found in southern Florida, where she lives and paints among eternal sunshine and native wildlife with her chonky dog, Ransom, and her loving husband.
