La Jolla Shores (0743) - This art work is inspired by one of my favorite places to watch the sunset from, La Jolla Shores. I love the colors of the light as it hits the water and the layered rocky cliffs.
Artist Point (0744) - This painting is a recollection of my memories at Artist Point in Yellowstone National Park. While I have never been able to really paint at these places en plein air, it is my dream. I still remember the exhilarating feeling I had when I visited this place 18 years ago.
Rose Garden (0745) - This painting is inspired by the beautiful Municipal Rose Garden in San Jose, California, that I got a chance to visit this summer.
Russian River Valley (0746) - This painting is inspired by my drive on Highway 1, north of San Francisco through the Russian River Valley. I was fortunate enough to to visit the site where the Russian River gently meets the Pacific Ocean.The valley is full of green undulating hills along the river with houses that look like tiny specks from afar.

Artist Bio: I am an artist based in San Diego, California. I was born and raised in India and moved to San Diego in 1999.
I have a degree in business and finance, but a few years ago I discovered that my real passion is making art. I am a published artist and have illustrated two books. I love to travel and visit natural landscapes and national parks. I love to be surrounded by nature at all times because it gives me a sense of calm and joy.
My passion is making nature-based paintings, both landscapes and florals. I am well versed in acrylic, oil, and watercolor, but right now my main medium is acrylic. I feel that acrylics provide me with time and grace to think and regroup my ideas. I find it to be a very forgiving medium that allows me to follow my intuition and feelings so that I may divert from initial plans as dictated by my heart and mind.
