Artist Biography: Lily Christoffersen is a printmaker and painter based in the West Coast.
Her art takes inspiration from the subtle beauty of nature and its contrasting organic yet geometric patterns and forms. In her work you can also note many symbols commonly found in ancient history as well as modern symbols found today, often left unspoken and buried within people.
Common subjects she uses are from stories and objects found within her own heritage as well as cultures of old.
Her work strives to inspire others to consider the sacred nature of color, shape, and symbols often overlooked and find new understanding and sanctuary in its spirit.
She challenges the popular, shocking, and fast paced visuals of our world with her subtle, deep, and moving work.
