Artist Bio: Utah-based artist Valerie Boyes is captivated by the way light transforms ordinary places into something memorable. Through oil painting, she explores the relationship between atmosphere, color, and emotion, creating landscapes and interiors that invite viewers to look a little longer.
A lifelong artist, Valerie earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from California State University, Fullerton and began her creative career in graphic design before returning to her first love of painting nearly two decades ago. After raising her family in San Clemente, California, she now lives and works in Utah.
Inspired by the majesty of the natural world and the quiet beauty found in everyday interiors, Valerie seeks to capture moments of stillness that remind us to slow down, observe, and find meaning in the ordinary.
