Artist Statement: The paintings I create are inspired by photographs, stories, and memories from my childhood. I feel a deep connection to the past and am compelled to bond with it. Creating this imagery allows me to reconnect with my inner child and express the emotional pain and confusion I had growing up in a traumatic environment.
Artist Bio: Rachel Reynolds earned her BFA in Painting at Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2022. Her work explores themes of childhood, mental health, and queerness through abstraction and bright colors.
