Artist Statement: This piece was created from the countless nightmares I would have of my father suddenly passing and losing his fight to cancer. The nightmare continued for years and is now replaced by the nightmares of his actual passing. There was always a bird in my dreams, a bird I would follow and never quite reach.
Artist Bio: Jennifer Wandry is an Argentine Fine Art Photographer who creates work from her memories found in journals she has kept since she was a little girl. She loves experimenting with film, spends a lot of time creating sets and costuming, and enjoys bringing different media together to tell a story. While her work is often heavy and dark, she hopes to open a dialogue of trauma, religion, and immigration with her work. She became a mom to a beautiful red headed boy a year ago and has found even more creative inspiration in this new journey.
