About the Artwork:
As I get older and look back on my life, it seems to be loosely organized into chapters. In each chapter, the main character is the same, but a different version of herself. The settings come and go, the other characters go in and out of the story. Sometimes the main character is someone to love and be proud of, sometimes she is someone that makes me cringe and want to get away from. Our lives are like novels: all with different lengths and different endings Some pretty predictable and calm, others a roller coaster you think you'll never recover from. I like to think about how much is chosen for us by others and how much is written by our own hand. This piece is an attempt to show myself as the main character in the book; growing and changing but also definitely in my own story and flow.
