Artist Biography: I practically grew up outside. I spent half of my childhood in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona, and the other half immersed in the evergreens of Spokane, Washington, where I found a love for all types of terrain and weather in the West. I truly spent every day playing outdoors, and have always found such a profound peace in nature to this day. As a landscape artist in Utah, there is no shortage of breathtaking natural vistas, ranging from snowcapped mountains & lakes in the Uinta mountains, to the hot, red-rock cliffs and mesas of Southern Utah. Being in nature fills me with a sort of peace and sense of smallness that runs deeper than I can express. Painting is my attempt to connect myself and others to the experiences I’ve had in nature.
