Artist Statement: Isaiah 51:3 “The Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.”
Artist Bio: Elizabeth Wheatley is an artist, mother, and teacher from Northern Virginia living in the mountain west. She is inspired most by the joys and sorrows of motherhood, the beauty of the world and her people, and the strength of divine relationships. The pieces included in this show are part of her “Women of Faith” project.
