Artist Statement: Duality is the state of having two opposite parts or elements. In the light moments of joy and comfort there exists a memory of pain and sorrow. The hard things one has moved through to get to the light, or even the hard things still in active existence while you pause to enjoy the light. Don’t be afraid. There is opposition in all.
Artist Bio: I am an abstract acrylic artist. I paint as a way of processing the world around me, both the highs and the lows. I have lived with chronic pain for approximately 5 years and find creativity and open expression to be a useful healing tool.
