Artist: Maddison Tenney
Title: Ghostly Roads
Medium: Gouache Painting with Gold Ink
Price: $200
Dimensions: 12 x 18" Framed
Artist Statement: According to scientists, my hometown of Hooper will be gone in 5 years due to the Great Salt Lake drying up. As a queer person growing up in a rural town, I felt disconnected from my roots when I came out. However, now that it will disappear, I find myself wanting to reconnect to the fields I grew up with. These paintings are my documentation of golden memories I have of the spaces that grew up with me, and which will disappear before I ever have the chance to live there again.
