This piece is about how our children capture our attention and our love from their very first moments of life. We think we know where we are going when a child can stop us in our tracks. I have a tendency to run from one thing to the next. My children help me to slow down and live a more real life.

About the artist: 

Whiting, Clinton

Clinton Whiting received his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Fine Arts from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, in Rome Italy, 2012. Recent exhibits include Abiding Embrace, Rome Italy (2019), Annual Spring Salon, Springville Utah (2021), Art in the home, Utah Arts and Museums Rio Gallery, Salt Lake City, UT (2018), Handed and Altered, New York City, (2018) Clinton Whiting is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work is influenced by conceptual and modernist practices. His works attempt to describe the intangible connection people share between one another, through representation of the human figure to form the idea of connection or lack thereof. Clinton’s work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and Internationally. He lives and works in Holladay Utah.
