Artist Statement: When we explore new things in life, sometimes there’s a pressure to immediately jump right into the unknown. I’d argue that exploring with steady caution can sometimes be a strength. There is no rush to jump into the water. This child explores, while keeping to what they feel comfortable with: dry land.
