About the Artwork:
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved unicorns. I found them to be beautiful, enchanting, and a symbol of hope and purity. I was constantly drawing them, collected any sort of trinket or memorabilia that had to do with unicorns, and watched the movie, The Last Unicorn so many times I wore the tape out. The obsession has stayed with me, since I enjoy studying Medieval and Renaissance art, where many unicorns are represented, including the legendary Unicorn Tapestries. I believe unicorns evoke a sparkle of graceful mystery and remind us of our own youthful wishes.
