Artist Statement: The single line which composes the form of La Jeune Tarentine, a young woman drowned at sea, symbolizes the connection from life, through momentary death, to afterlife.
Artist Bio: Michael Lowry is an oil painter, geologist, outdoorsman and father, and works in software as a product manager. He has studied art off and on throughout his life, but only began oil painting in earnest in the last few years.
