Artist Statement: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 I see the turning of the seasons as a beautiful symbol of renewal. The Earth dies and comes alive again every year. Fall is my favorite season and isn’t it interesting that the colors and beauty of the world become so intense right before everything seems to die? If you had never known spring before, you might think that all was lost. Yet, the snow will melt and new life will rise. Even so, Christ’s grace makes it possible for our personal winters to turn into spring. He can brace us in our falls, in those unexpected changes of life. He can catch us in our falls, when we are prey to human weakness. His Atonement covers for the entire fall of man. When I look at this painting, I also think of the courage of Mother Eve in her fall, the trust she had in the Savior’s promises. I will look to Christ in every fall, and remember that spring will come, joy will follow sorrow. “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” – 1 Corinthians 15:22
Artist Biography: Jenedy Paige was born with two God-given gifts: she’s an early riser and she’s consistent. She’s used her natural abilities to become a professional oil painter and an American Ninja Warrior athlete. She believes we all have a divine spark that really does make us capable of achieving anything as long as we’re willing to work really really hard for it. She is the biggest fan of her alma-mater, BYU-Idaho, and credits herself as the “product of a great art education.” She is a wife, a mother, a teacher, a runner, and her mom says she struggles with being able to relax. When she’s not in her studio or the gym, she loves to be in her kitchen, creating delicious healthy food for her family. She thanks God every day for carefully leading her down a path she could have never imagined for herself.
