About the artwork: I’ve always looked forward to the appearance of the crocus, and affectionately thought of them as the “herald of spring”. Their bright heads peak through the snow, and though winter is not quite over, change is coming. Regrowth is coming. In the midst of perhaps the most chaotic and difficult year of my life, I can, at times, glimpse the metaphorical crocus peeking through the snow. Telling me that warmth and growth lie ahead for me.
