While I shape and refine the glass, I also allow the forms to guide the composition. The piece is abstract and lyrical, inspired by nature. I leave open space for imagination and rustic edges as a counterpoint to the smooth glass. There is a contrast between roughness and refinement. I shape and refine each piece, but I also trust the nature of the glass.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eArtist Bio: \u003c\/strong\u003eI have been designing and building stained glass windows since 1983. It seems that is longer than most of my students have been alive! Weird! I also teach stained glass and mosaic classes in my Provo studio. My work is displayed in the Covey Center for the Arts, various Provo City offices, the Springville market place, Provo airport and many residences in the area. I am President of the Utah County Art Board, which encourages aspiring artists to participate in exhibitions at the UCAB Gallery.
