Lithuanian Street Art (Make Everything Great Again)

About the Artist: My love of Street Art and my Lithuanian heritage inspired me to create this poster. It is based on a mural painted on the side of a building in Vilnius by Dominykas Čečkauskas and Mindaugas Bonanu during the 2016 presidential campaign when Donald Trump and Vladmir Putin exchanged statements of mutual admiration. After multiple occupations and a long fight for freedom Lithuanians have a distrust of Russia and this mural was celebrated in the country and spread through world news. The image is a riff on a 1990 graffiti painting on the Berlin Wall that showed Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and East German leader Erich Honecker locked in an embrace.
