Artist: Diana Lee Farr
Title: Live or Die
Material: Acrylic on board
About the work: I was thinking about the name of this show “A New Page”. With all the craziness of the past couple of years, there has definitely been change! For me, and many other people during the pandemic we have found solace in nature. It has been a time for me to live and find hope! Refusing to die in despair and the unknown.
About the artist: I came to the game of art later in life. At 50 I decided why not give my dream of being an artist a shot. I graduated in graphic design from Brigham Young University. Through out my life I always felt like I took the right “exit” just didn’t take the right “turn” when I pursued graphic design. I found the graphic design world too limiting and always wanted to branch out into the fine arts. I have always craved creativity in my life through many different forms including gardening, cooking, decorating, or pretty much anything that gets my creativity flowing! I love bold shapes and colors and find a lot of joy in composition and negative space. The last few years have been a wonderful journey that I plan on continuing to explore. I’m excited to see where it will take me.
