About the Artist: Born and raised in Orem, Utah to Mexican immigrant parents, Ruth (she/her) is a partnered mother of two (one deceased, one living) who worked as a hairstylist for 7 years before leaving the beauty industry to work for Utah Educational Equity Coalition. Ruth is passionate about anti-bias/anti-racism work and she explores related themes through digital collage and found poetry.
