About the Artwork:
Butterflies go through a radical metamorphosis to become what they were ultimately capable of; after they wrap themselves inside their cocoon; their bodies dissolve into an unrecognizable soup. After a period of time something radically different emerges. Something absolutely beautiful that can fly! Astounding! To me, butterflies symbolize our ability to grow, to change, to become something even better than before. And if we involve God in that process we can make quantum leaps of progress.
An artist's palate is a symbol for me of creation, of organizing raw materials into something new; something beautiful. This process, metamorphosis, is gold! It is where I get to envision something new, choose elements, and then work at something new that I want to create in my art--in my life. It is a wonder and a joy to be a creative...and we are all creatives.
About the Artist:
Jennifer has been a practicing artist all of her life. She studied art at BYU and has continued her training with workshops, master classes and just playing around.
