Artist Statement: Witnessing more sunrises and sunsets are awe inspiring experiences. The orange hues give a feelings of warmth, happiness, a sense of tranquility, being more present and in the moment.
Artist Biography: Fulfilled when surrounded by a lake sunset reflection. At peace standing in the middle of a desert witnessing complete and utter silence. In awe by the greatness of God’s work standing on a river bank or in the sand listening to the sounds, smells and movements of the ocean’s tide.
I am a self taught, landscape, seascape, plein-air painter. Infatuated with oils, creating and blending colors, the smoothness of oils like silk gliding across linen, feeling the multitudes of layers creating hosts of moods. Oil painting is my healing therapy.
