A sacred geometric symbol found throughout the world, throughout time, and through all cultures is called the flower of life. This curious symbolic phenomenon is created through a natural circumscription of circles. It symbolizes the cycle of creation, but its full meaning is better understood through its construction rather than its viewing.  As I built this symbol out of raised thread, I gained a deeper insight into the inner workings of creation, and the requirement of both female and male elements.

The symbol is found naturally in embryonic cell formations. When a male and a female cell unite, they begin to divide into more and more cells. When the cells have divided into a pattern of 32 cells, it looks uncannily similar to the pattern of the flower of life and is called a Morula. Millions of species are created in this way. It is a foundational pattern of creation. And it requires the elements of both male and female. To me, in order to fulfill the measure of our creation, we must become creators with Christ, who balances and harmonizes male and female elements in all things.
