A commitment to lifelong learning shapes his artistic practice, which spans a wide range of subjects and media, with sculpture as his primary means of expression. He is especially passionate about figurative work drawn from life.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDrawn to both traditional and contemporary ideals, Spencer seeks to use the language of art to integrate abstraction, simplification, and conceptual themes throughout his work.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHis artwork has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including the UTC Invitational, BDAC Annual Statewide Exhibit, Logan Fine Art Fall Salon, Utah Division of Arts \u0026amp; Museums Statewide Annual Exhibit, the Springville Museum of Art’s Spring Salon and Spiritual \u0026amp; Religious Art Exhibition, and the Loveland Sculpture in the Park Show, where he has received multiple awards. His sculptures have also appeared in public art programs such as Daybreak’s Art Ave, St. George’s Art Around the Corner, and American Fork’s Sculpture Walk.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn addition to his studio practice, Spencer teaches as adjunct faculty at UVU (sculpture) and BYU (gymnastics). He and his wife, Cassy, enjoy time with their four children and five grandchildren.
