Artist Statement: Treasure hunting at dawn to find remnants of a people who once lived here. I remember a book that talked about a boy who could see the footprints of people who had walked in the past. Looking at the sand and seeing footprints left by those who frequented the site only days ago, I could imagine footprints left by those hundreds of years ago. We all share this land. And it is oh, so precious to us. I wonder if someone years down the line will be able to see my footprints.
