Artist Statement:
The Extent of Me is about the enduring impact each of us can have on one another. Interconnected as we all are, our relationships have far-reaching consequences, for good or bad. Recognizing the impact of our thoughts and actions, we have a shared obligation to foster a community with compassion, empathy, and understanding, to contribute to the boundless extent of all of us.
Artist Bio:
Emerging Utah artist Alex Merrill (b. 1994) has been creating art her whole life, with an emphasis in oil painting since 2022. After taking a break from art for a few years, she found that creation is not only beneficial, but essential.
