The Lamb and the Lion signifies the power that Jesus Christ has to bring peace to our individual lives, and eventually to the whole world as we look forward to His second coming. He is both the Lamb, through His sacrifice for our sins, as well as the Lion, through his power to swallow up death and reign as King over all nations.
