Artist Statement: This piece is inspired by my dear friend and artist, the late Annie K. Blake. I keep a quote of hers near my desk that reads: "There are ghosts in this house. And I know their names." It reminds me that we all collect friendly ghosts—ghosts who make us feel like home, even in their absence.
