Artist Statement: We live in a world heavily influenced by the unseen spiritual world and it's permeating energy. While there are no visible portals to this unseen space, our connection to the other side can be palpable. The forms and materials in the painting-- contrasting mortality and eternality-- are meant to act as a spiritual portal, connecting the tangible world to the metaphysical.
