Artist Statement: One thing I know for sure is that light makes life easier. This piece is about following your own compass, blocking out the noise and doubting your doubts. This year can be the year you learn to trust yourself and follow your inner light.
Artist Bio: Olivia Öquist, originally from Sweden and now based in the U.S., has been creating art since she was a kid, growing up in a family full of artists and creatives. She spends most of her days painting. Her work is inspired by everything from classical art, her home, and fairytales, to emotions, femininity, and the beauty she sees in the world. Her paintings are dreamy, ethereal and sometimes moody. Her art brings softness to life’s tougher edges.
