Artist Statement: These ravens press so closely together that their bodies nearly become a single dark form. Conspire comes from the Latin conspirare—to breathe together—and once carried a sense of harmony or accord before taking on its more sinister meaning. Closeness can create its own kind of understanding: two distinct beings occupying the same space without becoming the same.
Artist Bio: Tyler creates atmospheric paintings of layered unconventional materials that invite quiet reconnection in an increasingly distracted world. Using asphalt, oil, acrylic, spray paint powdered pigments, and metallic powders, he builds moody-but-hopeful surfaces that move between landscape and animal portraiture, offering stillness, memory, and belonging.
