Artist Bio: J. Amber Egbert is a studio artist and adjunct faculty member at Utah Valley University. Originally from Boise, Idaho, she now lives and works in Utah County, Utah. While she primarily works in clay, she has recently expanded her practice to include painting. Her ceramic work often blends wheel-throwing with hand-building techniques, while her still life paintings frequently feature ceramic pieces of her own creation.
Egbert’s work explores the intersection of craft and fine art, as well as the connection between art and everyday life. Her pieces have been exhibited across the United States, with frequent showings in her home state of Utah.
