Artist Bio: Allie Zeyer is an award-winning member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA) and the American Impressionists Society (AIS). In 2023 she received awards at both organizations’ National Conventions--one of which was for a charming 6 x 6 gouache painting. She’s been featured in reputable podcasts and Facebook Live interviews sharing her knowledge of the plein air experience and how gouache can increase an artist’s ability to depict the brilliancy of the natural world. Rural life defines much of Allie’s subject matter, which can be attributed to her surroundings growing up in Utah and her current typography of Western Idaho. She’s been fortunate enough to study under nationally recognized artists. Her passion for growth in her art never ceases: “I simply want to make better paintings every day.” Allie currently resides with her husband and young children in Meridian, ID.
