Artist Statement: This painting reflects how we meditate on spiritual experiences, particularly how Mary meditated on her interaction with an angelic messenger. This painting reminds us of the beautiful space we are able to create as we meditate on our own journey and encounters with the divine.
Artist Bio: Annie Henrie Nader graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2010. From an early age, Annie was determined to be an artist. Annie grew up in Bountiful, Utah, and is the daughter of Cary and Sauni Henrie. Annie's work is inspired by her experiences serving as a missionary in southern England, traveling to Iceland and Israel, studying Renaissance art in Italy, and more recently from her experiences in motherhood. She and her husband Mark have two fantastic kids and currently reside in Littleton, Colorado.
