Artist Statement: “AquaGenesis” delves into the profound interconnection between water and the divine feminine. Water, with its boundless depths and ever-changing forms, becomes a metaphor for creation - a primordial force that sustains life and nurtures the soul.
The semi-transparent water reflection serves as an allegory for the veil that separates us from heaven which sometimes allows us to catch a glimpse of what is beyond. The layers of color and reflection reference the depth of the feminine experience, where layers of emotion and memory intertwine like currents beneath the surface. The sun reflections infuse the scene with warmth and vitality and illustrate divine influence from above.
Intertwined with the fluid forms of water and light are layers of inverted triangles. The blue triangles represent water and the gold ones represent women. As these layers overlap and interconnect they become lighter and eventually create the lightest triangle in the middle which represents mother in heaven, a timeless archetype of wisdom and creative power. This illustrates the connection between the life giving properties of water with the life giving ability of women.
