About the Artist: Ashley Spivey studied Applied Psychology at Oregon Institute of Technology and completed her Master's of Arts in Teaching at Southern Oregon University. It was there that she was able to take a few art classes as a first exposure to something other than self-taught experiences. Her love of art was, however, discovered at a young age and was encouraged by her teachers. She has taught English Language Development, Early Childhood Intervention, and currently is teaching in Kindergarten. She conducts art classes every year out of her backyard art studio in addition to commissioned murals and paintings. She is the mother to three wild, Irish daughters and is married to their equally wild, Irish father.
