About the Artwork: The ever-changing light at Moss Landing Beach, California. Different days yet similar moments of time, create an array one can paint from. The ocean was once as familiar to me as the mountains are now. Only visits to my sister's home by the sea, am I able to regain that familiarity.
About the Artist: Emma Jean Wilkins grew up on the coast of Southern California before relocating to the beautiful mountains of Utah County. There she learned of her passion for the Fine Arts and continued her schooling by earning her BFA degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2020. She currently assists at Sentient Academy HQ and the Springville Museum of Art. Emma Jean loves to snuggle up with a good book, be out in nature, and bake her heart out.
