Artist Bio: JOJO Banda is a Vietnamese-American contemporary artist near Salt Lake City, Utah, working primarily in oil paint and charcoal. Her artistic voice is shaped by the contrasting influences of her upbringing in Las Vegas and her formal training in academic realism at Brigham Young University–Idaho, where she studied under renowned artists Albin Veselka, Leon Parson, and Brian Call.
JOJO’s work reflects a thoughtful blend of contemporary themes and classical techniques, creating a style that feels both grounded and fun. After graduating, she decided to step away from the studio to raise a young family, and now returns—often one hour at a time—with renewed perspective.
