Titles and about the artwork:
Building for the Future. I worked this summer in Salt Lake with a perfect view of the temple renovation. This piece is to remember my internship and how things we do now prepare us for the future.
Cannon Beach. We vacationed to the Oregon coast with some friends over the summer. Growing up in Arizona I did not surround myself with the level of green Oregon brings. This piece is to remember that trip.
Jordan River. The temple shines day and night, and it may do the same in some of our lives. This piece is to remember the temple visits my wife and I were lucky to have and how the focus on the temple can always be there.
Thanksgiving Point. To celebrate big news in our life, my wife and I visited the tulip festival at thanksgiving point. I painted a scene that one might not think of when visiting the tulip festival, but hoping to show there is beauty all around outside of what we intentionally view.
Sweeping Water. Many nights and mornings my wife and I walked along rivers discussing what life might bring. This painting is to remember those conversations.
Ecola State Park. We vacationed to the Oregon coast with some friends over the summer. Growing up in Arizona I did not surround myself with the level of green Oregon brings. This piece is to remember that trip.
Reaching Up. The Cyprus tree is (in my opinion) one of the best looking trees. This tree is tied to great memories and art pieces I have come to enjoy. This piece is to remember that.
About the Artist: Michael grew up in Arizona and is attending BYU in the masters of accountancy program. This show is special as he is bringing his newborn kid to an art show for the first time.
