About the Artist: My name is Natalie Smith. I am 32 and I am a mother. I am a Denver Artist. I am curating a group show called “In Her Image,” with my cousin, Tuesday Thompson and sister, Lilia Todd opening September 16-October 3 at Next Gallery. In this exhibit we dive into the divine feminine in the five elements of the earth and I get consumed with water representing the divine. Lilia, Tuesday, and I have come together beautifully as sisters and cousins to explore our Heavenly Mother. We each have a passion for seeking out the Divine Feminine. We are sharing discoveries of enlightenment from each other of Her presence. “Our journey has led us to a better understanding of her. She is in all Mythologies. She is in all civilizations old and new. She is in all Sacred Dwelling Places. She is in all Religions. She is in the senses. She is in the ancient text. She is Truth. She is Light. She is Glory. She is Power. She is on the throne. She is in every sacred symbol of the earth. She Dwells in us. We have come to find Her in all five elements of the earth. She is fire, air, earth, and water. Above all, she is in the spirit. We find her in all-female anatomy. We become one with her through our shared experiences. We are divine mothers made in our first divine mother's image. We see Her now. We recognize her in the sisterhood created on this earth. She is in all races. She is in you and me. We as women are created “In Her Image”.”
