Artist Statement: This series is a collection of five pieces that reflect on the beauty and necessity of rest. In a culture that often glorifies hustle and speed, this work gently challenges that narrative. Rest is a sacred space where imagination, healing, and transformation take place. Just as stars are only visible to us pausing in night, our inner magic often reveals itself when we allow stillness.
Artist Bio: Sarah Harris is a full-time abstract figurative artist based just outside Boise, Idaho. Known for primarily using oils and acrylics, her work explores what people allow and resist, manifesting through rest, surrender, vulnerability, strength, and resilience.
