Artist Bio: Tandy Iverson lives and works in Virginia in an area known as the Historic Triangle. She worked in clay from a young age, then moved toward watercolors and oils as a young adult at the Corcoran in Washington D.C., in Idaho and Utah, studying privately and then at Brigham Young University. In life, she is deeply influenced by the plants and creatures so plentiful in the area around her, the rich history and cultures which formed the country from Virginia on, and her western pioneering heritage. In art, her interest has moved from the likes of Burton Silverman to Soviet Impressionism, from N.C. Wyeth to all of the ancient arts from around the world, from the Lascaux cave painters to the great native artists of the Pacific Northwest Peoples. "Art tells the story of the world and of the great human family. It connects us all together, living and dead." For many years, she has been teaching art to children of all ages while raising a large family, and is excited to be exhibiting back in Utah.
