Artist Bio: Bill is a self-taught, landscape, seascape, plein air and portrait artist. Bill experienced oil painting for the first time in 2020 and fell in love with its smooth application, though he’s also drawn (pencil’n paper) most of his life.
Raised by avid rock hounders, falling in love with Utah’s outdoor beauty came quite naturally. Bill feels compelled to capture an undisturbed peace when oil painting. He is humbled when someone says, “I know that Bill Petersen's artwork."
