Artist Statement: This piece is symbolic for me of the things that I must do in my life to emulate Christ as he drank from “The bitter cup”. I wrapped the painting in lambskin to remind us that despite our trials and tribulations, we are always in the comforting embrace of our savior.
Artist Bio: Growing up in Bozeman Montana, Sam Thornock was captivated by the picturesque landscapes of the rugged Montana wilderness. this inspired him to begin his own artistic journey.. Working primarily in oil paints, he enjoys rendering colorful depictions of the natural world. Sam currently lives in American Fork Utah with his family.
