Artist Statement: While some photographers focus on the magnificent or stunning, I am drawn to the quiet, understated moments in our surroundings. Meaning can be found in the most menial of objects. I often abstract my subject matter, allowing viewers to question what they're really observing. My photographic passion lies in finding beauty in the banal, seeking majesty in the mundane, and discovering the divine in the otherwise dull details of life.
Artist Bio: Camille adores photography and discovered that love in architecture school. She is a licensed, practicing architect and owner of her firm, Dot Dot Design Studio, as well as an unlicensed, practicing mother of four daughters, with her husband assisting in the parenthood practice. Since she loves architecture, her photographs are often infused with architectural elements. She relies solely on her iPhone camera, for its immediacy. Her photographs are pure, unedited (no lighting adjustments, no filters, etc.) scenes pulled directly from around her with a focus on understated moments. What you see is what you get in her moment of seeing something.
